University of the Arts London Portfolio

This section showcases my latest work from my BA studies at the University of the Arts London in Film and TV Production, highlighting my growth as a filmmaker and my exploration of new creative concepts and techniques.

Beyond the Bar

This engaging short documentary follows world champion Simone Ming and local athlete Aaron Vandeyar as they share their personal journeys in the world of calisthenics. They discuss the challenges they've faced and offer encouragement to others looking to take on the sport.

My Role
I pitched the concept for this documentary and worked closely with the producer and director to bring it to life. My contributions included assisting with camera operation and editing the final film, ensuring a smooth blend of dynamic visuals and inspiring storytelling.

Portrait of an Artist

This short documentary explores an artist’s creative process and how the world around him influences his work. Without direct interview visuals, the film relies solely on slow-motion b-roll to bring his story to life, creating a visually immersive experience.

As the editor, I was challenged to craft an engaging narrative using only b-roll footage and interview audio. Through precise pacing, thoughtful shot selection, and dynamic visual storytelling, I transformed the raw footage into a compelling and cohesive film.

Every night, Susan and Colin sit down for what seems like a quiet evening in front of the TV. But as their odd conversations and routines unfold, it becomes clear—what they’re watching isn’t on the screen.

This was my first project at university, where we had just six hours to film and were confined to a single set. I took on the roles of set designer and editor, shaping the film’s atmosphere through visual details and refining the suspenseful narrative in post-production.
